Hi folks, I'm a TESOL-certified woman from Wisconsin, been working in Guadalajara for the past year in a language school, and the city is TOO BIG AND NOISY FOR ME! I need a smaller, warmer city to work in. Trouble is, I haven't traveled a whole lot, and don't really know a nice city/state where there are ESL job opps available. I've been told Colima is very nice, but are there job opps there? I searched the Net for schools there and didn't come up with much. I do need to write to someone at the Univ. of Colima and I'm visiting my former roomie there in Oct. (she moved there last Oct.).
Could I please ask for your asssistance in recommending a smaller city where there are schools/universities where a gal could be more comfortable and find some work? Don't want to return to the States, like it here in Mexico, finally getting a stronger command of the language, love the people, scenery, food, etc. I sure would appreciate any advice, friends!
Thanks in advance!

Late reply...I wonder what you ended up doing?
There are plenty of smaller towns/cities in the interio, but one place that struck me as very nice is Comitan, Chiapas. 100,000 people but it seemed so much smaller. There's work there, but like any smaller town, it is harder to come up with job opportunities. _________________ Life is a verb, not a noun - Now Bloggin' and Working Hard |
