Discrimination in China is typical. Here is the blog of one so-called school. It is run by their hiring manager Amanda Chen.

This isn't the school, it's the culture... _________________ マンツーマン 英会話 神戸 三宮 リアライズ - James |

Bitter hate, racism, stupidity, ignorance, and arrogance come from the school leadership and not the Chinese culture. I would say that it is a 90% split with 90% being the school leadership controlling how they hire and what they say and 10% of this being culture. The Beijing Huijia Private School is a rip off for students and their parents and if this is how they do business then they have much larger problems to contend with than racism. |

I think the honest opinion of the culture is breaking through these few people who are shameless, and that honestly most people do have these feelings, they just hide them. _________________ マンツーマン 英会話 神戸 三宮 リアライズ - James |

My experience with Chinese culture indicates that if they believe, for one minute, that you are sincere, in your effort to embrace their culture, they will gladly help you do so. Of course there are bad apples in every barrell, but they do not speak for the entire country, any more than " skinheads" speak for America. I made lots of friends in China, and this was a great weapon against schools that would take advantage of foreigners. I had one such friend call the headmaster of my school, and demand I get paid more money. I got it. Another time my landlord told one of my neighbors that he would make big trouble for him if he did not stop bothering my wife. The harassment ceased immediately. The Chinese laughed at my attempts to eat with chopsticks. When I laughed with them, they taught me how. If you are a stranger in a strange land, and you do not make friends with the people there, you will get screwed. The same is true, here, in the states. |

Great advice! I think this will be extremely helpful for individuals looking for good names. I also recommend it. |
