I'm seriously considering doing a 1 year TESL certificate. I know you learn more than you would in 4 weeks, but is it really necessary?
If anyone out there has done the 1 year please give me some info. I think with this one you can get a job teaching ESL at a college or university, but with the 4 week one you can only work at private schools.
