Im a British Citizen and want to teach in the USA for 1 year.
Which VISA do I apply for?
What's the Green Card?
Is it possible to go to the states as a normal tourist and then sort out a working visa from there, how long would that take?
Thanks

Hi Zub,
I've heard of some Brits going to the states on short term visas and working out longer arrangements visa once there. I think that's risky at best though and I'm assuming there are better ways of going about it.
Either way, it's tough to get a visa to work in the states for Brits...and vice versa so you're probably going to have a tough road to go.
Either way, good luck and don't let me hold you down.

You must have had a lapse of memory because I gave you this information in the following thread
http://www.esl-jobs-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=145
I now suggest that you contact the US Embassy, in London, to find out the latest information on visas
